I consider him a true intellectual, because, unlike other "Intellectuals" who make what they know hard to understand, by using words and terms the average person can't or at best find hard to understand, Thomas Sowell makes the complicated easy to understand, and to me, that takes a lot more talent. Rating: - Think of it as a tray of delicacies - not as the meal This is a collection of brief and very to-the-point essays, not a in-depth introduction to Thomas Sowell. I'm working on a couple of his more focused works, and find them much more challenging. Get this book as an introduction to him and to his philosophy. These essays are terrific little appetizers; it's easy to read a couple in-between other tasks.
